IMO, best design yet....I'd buy this if the cost was doable?..AND a better battery choice. No expert here, so not sure why the decision to use hydrogen.

Now, that's a nice looking truck!

As the OP, you are not the world-leading figure of authority on the subject? Preposterous! I vote for immediate banning!

According to them, "Hydrogen has the same benefits of electric vehicles as they use the same electric motors (more horsepower, instant torque, zero emissions, etc.) while eliminating many issues derived from battery electric vehicles (long recharge times, limited range, cold start, added weight, etc.)."

The press release said they are going to work with an OEM that hasnt been announced yet. It totally has a Tacoma look to it.

Pretty cool for sure. The bi product of hydrogen is water. It’s where a lot of transport driven fuels research is being focused. There’s a project being run right now out of the UofC running two hydrogen fuelled transport trucks back and forth from Calgary to Edmonton running for the next two years.

The commercial trucks on their site look realistic. The illuminated fender flares are different. I'd also like to see some analog gauges to go along with tablet screens.

The issue still lies in the price. You cannot expect the average consumer to spend 60 - 90k on a hydrogen truck to be limited in where they can have it serviced, fueled up and such. I think Rivian has a viable option being teamed with Ford, from what I've heard they're going to have Ford Service take care of service. The issue still lies in the price, no one right now can touch the ugly ass Cybertruck price tag.

Idk man, these days money is cheap. Like ridiculously cheap.

There is a terribly ghetto crappy used car dealership near me that somehow has a lambo and Ford raptors. And they actually move them. Kids are driving around the most expensive cars there is. People that can't afford health insurance are driving Mercedes Benz.

Don't get me wrong, shits not going to last forever but for now you can get anything you want (and people will do it) just by signing your name on a dotted line. This will be no different

I’d still take a Cubertruck. Function over form. Looks don’t really mean much...that Cubertruck will perform and is made of kickass materials

True. But that's all second hand shit, not new. I mean, if it's worth the price it'll sell - but coming into that market at that price will be tough I think. I wish them luck, it's definitely an interesting truck but to compare an electric consumer pickup truck in a new market (there is none out there yet...) to a gas engine lambo, or Ford is a tough sell on me lol

I think the big issue Tesla runs into, even with how big they are is service. Buddy of mine is on a 2 week waiting list to have work done on his Tesla... imagine being without a vehicle for 2 weeks because of the dealerships delay. There is, thankfully folks like Electrified Garage - but those are few and far between.

Please don't flame me for this. :crapstorm:I'm as concerned as anyone about the environment and what sort of planet we are leaving for our future generations. Hydrogen powered fuel cell technology is efficient, and using it as a fuel in a vehicle propulsion system can be called "zero emission". But, hydrogen isn't all it's cracked up to be. There is a significant problem with the generation/transportation/dispensing of hydrogen gas. This video goes into some of the issues. Start at the 7:00 minute mark if you want to get right to the issues.

Money may be stupid cheap these days, but it's not going to end well. We're now a decade into cheap money, in a "roaring economy" and the American consumer has never been more broke. They keep pointing to their 401k and homes prices like that means something. Where have we seen this before? 2001 2007, 1929 ......

Stack cash and let the simps spend money they don't have. It's all going to be on sale at some point

There is a reason they say cash is king. Same reason you can barter a sandwhich with a crackhead for a car wash....
