Just wanted to throw this out there... I almost failed inspection yesterday because my rear facing baja design s2 were uncovered. It seems a little arbitrary because the usual garage I get my inspections never blinked twice.

I purchased covers for them, so the shop manager passed me. I usually go to a single man owner owned shop (in the woods by the railroad tracks.. Jay is great) but for logistical reasons went to the tire shop I bought my tires last summer (also independently owned, but maybe a dozen mechanics).

He said my scene lights (rigid) off the side also would fail me, but I don't think there is covers for them. They didn't mention the behind the grill light bar (and I didn't ask).

    Just a public service announcement.

By law here in Pennsylvania any lights above the headlights require lens covers. So I put clear covers on them!! Cover is a cover. I have behind the grill light and that doesn't need a cover (below the headlights).

I miss the good ole' days when a 12 pack of Natty Lite went an awful long way towards getting a sticker on a sketchy vehicle.

Yep, my boss got pulled over for his massive lightbar on the roof of his Jeep. In Litchfield NH. No ticket but a stern warning.
