We're thinking of running the K-Trail in April. Is it all still open (I've been reading conflicting stories)?
We're wanting to go west to east & then pick up on, what I call, the High Water Mark Trail in Arkansas. Been reading conflicting stories on it's current situation as well.
Can y'all give this Texan any input on these 2 trails, currently?
    Thanks!

Check out the USFS OHV maps to be 100% legal. But last I heard the trail is now chopped up with private properties who don't allow access.
Tons more trails to be had, though. Between Ouachita and Ozark NFs in Arkansas you got plenty to explore and discover new routes. There's a fellow based in Arkansas on YouTube who has a great tutorial on integrating the USFS OHV maps with Gaia GPS to find legal trails.

Just to add to the confusion. A group from wranglerforum.com went about a year ago without issue. I've done the eastern section that starts in Clayton OK twice and would be down to go again with a few people to check it out. If you go now bring a chain saw and some tree trimmers with you FOR SURE because it was pretty tight when I was last there 3 years ago.
