Sucking air from somewhere

    I would have never thought changing out an air filter would cause an issue. Yet here we are

    I put a K&N on a few years ago and had to clean the MAF shortly after with contact cleaner (oil build up). The cleaning removed the "rough" idle that occurred after installation. Check the hoses and MAF then put the stock filter back on, the K&N does nothing.

    This is the easiest way to find a vacuum leak. Make sure it's the flammable brake clean

    If I were to build something with the sole intention of throwing it away immediately after, I still wouldn't let some of these people touch it before I threw it out. LOL!

    yeah they do.. i still have one but i like the idea of cleaning my filters rather than throwing it away and buying another.

    4” rough county lift, fuel sledge 18x9, 33x12.5 gladiator mt
    Problem has been going it is the throttle body it’s self the flapper is not opening up at all it’s starving the motor for air so there for it’s sucking flapper shut where I am gettin my first burst of air

    Sounds to me like you're getting pirated air. Vacuum leak. The motor is seeing extra air that isn't being read by the MAF so it doesn't know to add more fuel.

    If it were me I'd try the brake clean method or just plain take it all apart, check EVERYTHING for holes/tears and then put it all back together and reset the computer.
