Winch is mounted up. About to use the cherry picker to hold the bumper up.

 

Did the winch bolt in nice? Or did you have to get a mounting plate?

 

Bolted in perfectly. Another note, lots of folks complain of the sso bumper is hard to install a winch onto. I got it on easily with no problems.

How is the vacation

 

Just got a call about a large snake stuck down in a pipeline vault. Off to go climb down there, catch it, and get it out.

Havent done this in a while. Blast from the past.

 

The winch should be able 3 times the weight of the truck. If the truck is 5k then you need at least a 12k to 15k winch.

Most use it to load equipment like large power plumbing snakes, large lawn mowers, atv's or other heavy things to difficult pick up and out in van or pick up truck.

 

Nope. Standard is 1.5 X the weight of the truck. On top of that, SSO only recommends 10k lb winch max.
