Will 2005-2011 steel bumper fit 2012+?

I searched before posting this and could not find a solid answer, and I emailed Demello off their website and have not heard back, so here I am.

Found a local guy selling a Demello steel bumper off his 2010 Tacoma, wondering if it will fit my 2012. From my understanding it would mount up but the headlights/grill would get in the way or cause there to be a gap?

 

It will fit. But there will be a small gap.

 

This is a 5-11 bumper on my 2015

 

In the case of the Demello bumper, there will be a 2" gap between the grille and the bumper. You can always cut a piece of aluminum angle from a hardware store and bolt/glue it in as a gap filler, just depends on how big of a discount you're getting with the used bumper.

Yeah I see what you’re saying. 2” sounds excessive. I wonder if anyone has a pic of one mounted with the gap.

The top plate on the 2005-2011 bumper goes straight back. On the 2012-2015 bumper, it rises up to meet the grille:

Ah damn, well that's a bummer. Too much of a gap- would rather not spend that much money and not get exactly what I want out of it. Looks like I'll pass. Thanks guys I appreciate it
