Well I way over loaded my truck-I should have made two trips. I have halfton leafs and I had almost a full ton on them. Chris told me on the phone that I may have strained the axle enough to pop the seals (never occured to me about the axle limits) and now I have to keep an eye on that axle for leakage. Wish me luck that I didn't screw it up guys please. And don't do what I did with your truck. Anyways I am still damm proud of my baby:D Andrew-I shouldn't have put more than maybe 700-800lbs max if you take into account my GVWR of 5100 lbs and even that is pushing it when you consider my shell weighs around 350lbs.

I was not aware that you had half ton springs. Are they for the Tundra?

Oh, hahaha. I've just never heard anyone refer to Tacoma's as half-ton trucks.

Well it has been almost two weeks since I hauled 1830 lbs in my truck (just 170lbs shy of a full ton) and I am happy to report it is perfect:) and running fine as ever. So while I advise against doing what I did I will tell you that this is one more example of just how well built these 1st-gens are (if it was a 2nd-gen it wouldve sagged a spring and popped a gizzard:D) JK so here's to all the ROCKIN 1st-gens out there including the 4-Bangers-you all give the big boys a run for their money.
