If you don’t care too much about money then , why not. It looks cool enough has meh fox shocks upgrade vs the toothpick bilsteins and of course has the all important locker.

but if you care about value then you would get an sr5 for 12,000 bucks less and just add air lockers (with on board air supply), mud tires , and legit 2.5” resi shocks all around.

    1. How long have you owned it and what are you opinions so far?

    Purchased Christmas Eve.

I really like the Pro. Glad I got it. I was going to get the OR Premium with the Multi Terrain Camera. However, it was just a little cheaper than the Pro so I decided to get the Pro.

    2. Honestly, how much did you pay for it? (I know its expensive but it's a 10 year investment IMO so I'm cool with spending my money how I want to, I just want to know what is realistic and what I should fight em on)

    Less than MSRP with tax

Mine came with Remote start, Predator side steps, Keyless entry, added USB charge package, hitch/hitch ball, bed lights, tailgate power lock, interior/exterior LED illumination package, clear paint protection package.

    3. Is there anything that you don't like about it so far?

    I Like everything so far.

    4. What mods have you made to it?

    None yet

    5. What mods do you want to put on it?

    Plan on putting KO2s on
    bed cover or Cap
    Roof rack

I’ve never seen a pro that worth it... it’s a TRDOR...

Nope. Keep the saving and do the suspension yourself and save 5k. Unless you like to know every time you look anywhere in the cab that you have a pro.

I’ve had a 2020 Pro for about 3 weeks now and I’m really enjoying it so far. They are a lot of money, but if it’s in your budget and you don’t want to/don’t have time to /or have the ability to do a bunch of mod’s, then it’s a better option. I came from a ‘17 T4R Pro, and I can affirm, you will not lose money on a Pro! Ya, you can buy an OR, or other model for less and spend the difference in mod’s and get a better off-road vehicle, but if you sell you are not going to see that mod money come back to you. Lot’s of us plan on keeping vehicles for a long time, but sometimes that just doesn’t happen and a fairly stock Pro 3 years from now will bring you pretty close to what you paid for it new (if MSRP or less).

The new tech in the ‘20 is mostly nice, though some of it takes getting use to (radar controlled cruise took some getting use to for me). The LED exterior lighting is awesome compared to what was on my T4R, and even though CarPlay is for chicks, I do like it and am glad it’s on the vehicle.

2 things I could live without; the cat back exhaust and the subwoofer behind the rear seats. Neither bother me, but I’d rather of had some other more practical options in their place.

There were 2 ‘19 pro’s on the lot for $2k less than the ‘20, but the extra’s on the ‘20 were worth the extra expense.

Bottom line, if you can afford it and don’t want to do major mods, go ahead and buy it!

The 4runner was a great vehicle, and if I could have had both, I would’ve kept it. When I bought the 4runner, I actually wanted a Tacoma but saw the 4runner and bought it on impulse. Loved the drivetrain in that vehicle, though it is geared for maximum fuel mileage and off-road maneuverability so you end up using the “S” mode a lot more than what i am in the Tacoma (and I don’t drive fast at all). Even though the cabins are about the same, the 4runner felt slightly bigger when sitting inside of it. The headlights/fogs are pretty weak, especially compared to the new LED’s in the Tacoma! The entune was dated, but I liked it and didn’t have too many complaints. In the end, I just wanted a p/u for the extra bed space and they gave me damn near what i paid for it towards the Tacoma, so I figured why not. They’re both great vehicles and there’s really no way to go wrong with either one as far as I’m concerned...

Mine are 265/75/R16, fit perfectly. And the only thing I don't like about them is they don't clear out if the trail is muddy.

Yes, and the vinyl on the hood and between the doors. I debadge every vehicle, makes cleaning easier and I prefer the look.

Plans for mine to do the same. Such a clean look!

Do you think if you went 285s, you'd have any issues? I'm torn because so many Pro owners have said 285's fit.

At the time I knew I was adding a winch soon so I didn't want to chance it. Mine didn't sag any with the added weight (measured before and after) but I figure it'll sag a little over time with the weight of the winch. And I didn't want to beat the seam down or do any trimming.

    working on it!
    1. How long have you owned it and what are you opinions so far?

Since 1/20/20 and love it so far. It's my first ever pickup truck and love the utility of it. Only 600 miles, no highway so far. Gas mileage is not great in town but no worse than my old Jeep Grand Cherokee. Entune is pretty crappy, but I use the Carplay and am fine with that. Both have some quirky behaviors but nothing to seriously complain about. Rear seat is for kids only at best. I can't imagine a full sized adult back there for anything more than a short ride.

    2. Honestly, how much did you pay for it? (I know its expensive but it's a 10 year investment IMO so I'm cool with spending my money how I want to, I just want to know what is realistic and what I should fight em on)

I paid $47,716 which was basically sticker. Normally I haggle on vehicles but I also buy from stock. This time around I ordered my TRD Pro exactly how I wanted it and was OKAY to pay sticker. I keep my vehicles until they literally fall apart so for me this is a 10+ year investment and then some.

    3. Is there anything that you don't like about it so far?

My biggest issue is getting in and out of the truck. I'm a big guy, 6'1" and the door opening forces me to do some contortions to get in and out. Nothing too severe, it's just bothersome. If I were getting into a supercar, it makes sense to have to do that, but this is a mid size truck. Once I'm inside, I'm totally comfortable and thankful for the adjustable seat. I still don't have any long road trip experience but am guessing I will be fine. My only other complaint is the leather that Toyota uses definitely feels of a lesser quality than I've seen on other luxury cars. I'm wondering how it will hold up long term.

Only other thing is the exhaust drone. It's not loud, it's not quiet, it's just there. I've heard it's worse on the highway

    4. What mods have you made to it?
    - Raptor lights - I just love the look, don't hate on me.
    - AVS rain guards
    - Meso smoke turn signals on mirrors. The stock signals have a stupid chrome accent and are barely visbile.
    - Meso stage 1 turn signal light kit
    - Meso coin tray
    - OEM bed mat
    - RAM x-grip mount in cup holder
    - Pro-Line hood struts
    - tailgate lock
    - console tray and glove box dividers
    - LED interior lights (must do mod, you won't regret it)
    - removed every warning sticker I could

    5. What mods do you want to put on it?
    - RCI Rock Sliders
    - Ditch lights, Rigid side shooters most likely
    - SSO slimline front bumper

ONLY if you can negotiate a healthy discount. I would never pay MSRP for a Pro model.
