He needed it back to take measurements off of. When I was taking it off, the threads on one of the studs got all mangled up. Rather than fix that and get another skid, just went this route since it was less than $200 and only 8 lbs

Yep, UHMW or whatever the acronym is. Very slick. Our fuel tank is hard to hit as it is, so it doesn’t need anything crazy beefy.

@RobP62 you remember I said I was gonna try and make a better Paracord handle?

    Round one

    Then did another weave

    20200217_162808.jpg

I am gonna use this for the headrest probably. Still sourcing the eye bolts. The center piece has a double wrap

I'll have to take a comparison photo to the other one but much beefier in my opinion.

I havent measure the eyebolt that came from Taco V but the threaded part and nut looks to be 1/4 like all the other prinsu bolts.

If you can get me shank diameter and ID on the eye, I'll find you an eye bolt.

That's way cool Eric! So how much paracord does it take to make one of these? Sure seems like a lot. Especially since they are beefier. And doesn't paracord come in different gauges?

    Oh, found these
