What suspension upgrade should I get?

    I own a 2015 Taco and plan on installing a tent with a Bed rack. I don’t want any crazy lift kit. I want efficient adjustable suspension for when I have a heavy load. My price range is between 1000$ to 2500$

    If you just want to manage the additional weight, I have Air Lift bags on my Tacoma that work very well. No need for a lift or other modifications to the suspension.

    If you are not ready to go all the way you can upgrade the bumpstops e.g., Sumo Springs or Timbren.

    To have adjustable setup you’ll end up spending 2500 just on shocks at least like from king, ads, icon, or fox.
    Imho for a solid system you should look at the old man emu stuff, leaf springs I’d go with the HD Dakars or icon rxt. Fyi the dakars are notorious for squeaking after a couple months mine sound terrible.

    Absolutely go with airbags. Easy to install and you'll maintain factory ride comfort (or close to it) and alignment. Also you can avoid all the vibrations, buying upper control arms, etc that come with doing a suspension lift.

    I went through a similar decision for towing an rv. I went with Firestone Ride Rite’s. Pretty good investment for $300. Going on 8 years; they have a small leak but are still effective.
