Hey Connecticut, our everything hurts

Joined my lady for a Jeep thing today. Met a big group in thomaston and drove up toward Cornwall. I ran Gaia for the off-road portion of it so that I can get back out there with the Tacoma at some point. If there’s any interest, maybe we can put something together in the near future.

 

So many Jeeps in one place - eyes hurting.

But definitely interested in an easy run.
Working in the yard today - my boots say we'll have an early mud season.

 

Mapped this for fun. Danbury mall to Thomaston to Cornwall back to Danbury Mall - 2:13. Way less intrusive on life than Rhode Island runs, even w/ doubling the time for trail time & beers.

It took longer than that for us, but we were stopped for quite a while waiting for a second smaller group to catch up. The amount of soft road covered was a bit underwhelming, but there’s a lot more out there. I think it would be fun with some spring mud in the mix. The same group has been running what I imagine are the same RI trails as well, they were up there last weekend and will be up there again next weekend. Definitely more technical up that way.

Mornin everyone. Meeting the city of New Haven this am that has A LOT of our pumps in their system. They recently upgraded a main pump station with our pumps and in that process removed a major piece of equipment that had a reason for being there and now they’re having major issues. They aren’t going to like me telling them that it needs to be reinstalled lol

 

That's a sticky wicket. Not many people want to risk a good gubmnt job by admitting they made a mistake. Probably they'd rather put forward a proposal for new equipment that will resolve the issue... and then they could come up with the option of putting back the old equipment as a patch. Oh well - politics is their job, you just tell them the facts. Good luck & "always give them an out".

Yes at this level it can be very political. Fortunately the folks in charge respect my opinion/suggestions since I’ve helped them with a lot of issues in their system. In the end they know they need to look into another, that was removed in the upgrade, Muffin Monster. Google it lol. It will put an end to the issues they’re having.
