5100s in the rear?

    I’m 95% sure I’m going to level my soon to be built 2020 Sport AC with 5100s. Probably on the 1.1” step. Planning on leaving the rear at stock height.

    Would it be worth the effort to use them in the rear also? Would I notice the difference?

    Yes. If you can afford to put them on at the same time.

    Notice a difference?
    On Hwy, slightly noticeable.
    Off-HWY, Most certainly.
    Hauling and Towing, Yes.

    Effort! You don't even need to jack up the rear to replace them... lol
    Loosen and remove top nut, crawl under and remove bolt, pull down/out & remove shock.
    Install new shock easy peasy!

    LOL. Ya, I'm not too worried about the work involved. I'm just wondering if the extra cash will get me a noticeable difference in performance.

    Mods are currently being changed .....
    When it comes to wear items (tires, suspension, etc) everyone always sees and feels the biggest difference when going to a new item from something worn out. That perception of it being a result of a more expensive items is compounded here. People think it's the higher value item that causes the improvement when in reality, it's simply the NEW item. I'm not talking the 1% of serious off road folks who change items for measurable differences in suspension travel, temperatures, etc. I'm talking street trucks. These forums, Instagram and everything else will make you think you need more than you really do.
    You have to figure out if you simply enjoy modding your vehicles, need an upgraded part or if you don't really care. I'm dropping way more than I should on new suspension for this truck, but I chalk up a large portion of that to simply enjoying new and different things and redirecting the money I save from doing the work myself.

    From your original post, I would suggest simply leaving the 2020 oem rear shocks on the truck until they need to be replaced. It doesn't sound like you need anything else. Those will be just fine.
