Very nice looking truck. What kind of tree is that and what are the white things growing on it? I lived in San Antonio for 6 weeks and never seen anything like that, but I really didn't get a chance to really get out and see much of San Antonio, if you know what I mean.

 

So is your front width wider than your rear? How does it track in the snow and mud?

Yes sir. Front is wider than the rear. Not sure about snow, truck as never seen any.

Mescalbeans is the name of the tree/plant. Its a common tree in Texas, they are known for the red bean inside the pod, you can rub it on concrete and it can get really hot.

 

Clean the MAF and throttle body. Change the spark plugs and the air filter. Other than that you will be luckly to get over 17mpgs with your lift and tire set up.

I am stock height on 32" X 11" (rounded up ) and I cannot get mine over 17mpg's. I am also an agressive driver. And I have 1.25" wheel spacers which create drag by pushing the wheels outside the well!

All that said, I love my Taco. Best truck I have every owned!

Looks good! I recently added sound deadener and infinity's and the sounds is better but I could really use more power since I don't want to go the sub route right now. What all did you need to set up the amp? I'm not new to aftermarket stereos but I would like to keep the stock head unit and I've never added an amp with a stock setup.

 

How was the install for the cab rack?

Finally spent the time to wire up the 3.0A USB port and the volt meter. No more charging cable running across from the cigarette lighter charger to my phone mount. The inReach Mini goes up by the phone mount on wheeling trips and can use the 2.4A outlet. Moved the amp bass attenuator knob up by the fog switch.

 

Now that the Prinsu is installed, I need to drill some holes in the Pelican and mount it. I hate to drill the holes....

 

Finished this today, but it's been a "work in progress"...

One of the LED lights on my Hilux 4 x 4 switch stopped working. Luckily my old man is an electrician and is really good with soldering, so I bought some new bulbs and he replaced it for me.

Because of having the Hilux 4 x 4 switch, I need the metal ring to "fill in the space" because the switch is a bit smaller. After several attempts at repainting the ring and it coming out like shit every time, I gave up and paid $20.00 at a local paint/powder shop for them to do it in a flat black look. They do great work! I've used them before to re-powder coat a used BAMF Behind The Grill Light Bar Mount that I bought used on here, and needed some 'touching up".

Got the ring back from the shop on my lunch break. Pic of it all done and around the switch. They did a great job. Definitely worth the $20.



And while still on my lunch break, installed it real quick with some JB Kwikweld. Not it's sitting out there, curing.
