Sometimes you can take them off or ask yard to do it. and put stock parts back on but some people have gotten enough back from their insurance carriers to just leave them on. Sometimes I think it is up to the wrecker yard if they let you have enough access to it.

My 2014 was totaled, didn’t look as bad as yours but frame was bent. Insurance gave me money for the aftermarket items so I didn’t bother trying to take them off. Had it paid off for a whole 6 months.....oh well, easy come easy go. I do love my 2017 Quicksand sport that I got in its place though!

New developments: Insurance said (based off of the pictures) that it might be repairable :annoyed:. So its being towed to another collision center while I wait for someone to actually go look at it. I have a feeling once they actually lay some eyes on it, they'll change their minds.

I had the same thing. I was had sold my STi and was amping up to pay off the truck in full and buy some silly project car when my 2013 got whacked. I ended up needing a car while my 2016 was on order. Funny how life does that to you.

Insurance adjuster might be right... cab looks good, most of the bed looks good, fenders, doors, even tailgate look ok... so 2 bumpers,a frame and the drivers bed side. When I worked at a body shop we did frames pretty often if the rest of the body was still ok.

My insurance said any frame damage and it was done, wouldn’t let the body shop even try to straighten it. But then again the OPs truck is newer than mine was.

Imo... get them to total it. (It looks totaled to me). The truck will never be the same. Its gonna be fight to get the value of the truck from their ins.

If they do repair it.... Diminished value insurance claim. The only way I can explain it is your truck will have less value because of the repair. (Carfax) The claim will try to get you funds to help compensate for that loss. Its gonna be a fight either way

Does anyone have a storage box in the bed from a totaled truck they would like to sell?
