Scored a bare front axle housing...what do I need to complete?

Just scored a front axle housing. Bare. What do I need to complete other than 3rd member.

A whole bunch of stuff.... hopefully you got it for free and the pumpkin is on the driver side or there's more work to be done

You could start by telling us what kind of axle it is. Then we might be able to get you going in the right direction.

 

Not to burst your bubble, but the list is long... Very, very long. The axle housing is the cheap and easy part.

 

It's going to take a while to discern all this extensive information and sort through the ample pictures you posted regarding this axle.

Next time OP try to be a little more vague on your posts and not so detailed.

 

Most people if using Toyota parts bring home the complete vehicle which gives you most of what you need decide on what springs your going to use .

 

Cut out your IFS brackets and put the axle in. There's a few points you may want to consider...

Or a big fucking wallet to let someone else sort this shit out.

 

Also, the axle housing is one of the least expensive things on the list for SAS.

It would be like asking, "I found a life vest, what else do I need to water ski?"

things dont always stay the same year to year

no need to buy what U cant use

no less after U definitively know where to start

U might find one someone has thrashed/broken
whereby quite a bit can be swapped out

if it's a mini truck Toyota front axle housing you also want to make sure it's straight, too. My buddy who is a fabricator built a jig to true used housings before installing them in SFA swaps because most of the ones people get their hands on aren't straight
