Looking for some pics of your Keder Rail install on top and base, I'm planning on installing some side curtains.

I installed some of this track for my Nemo awning. You are going to want some tools, specifically Cleco clamps and a good riveter.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0093QZ0QG/

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0039697ME/

The riveter is way better than one of those hand units, easier to get a solid pull with no lateral motion. I bought the one above for my tent body swap since there was a metric ton of rivets to install.

    1. Using your automatic center punch snap dimples in the center of your track at equal distances you think you’ll need.

    2. Using an appropriate drill bit drill holes in the track.

    3. Hold your track on the wall positioning where you want it to be and zap a pilot dimple in the hab’s wall at the CENTERMOST track hole.

    4. Being careful not to drill too deep, drill the hole in your wall.

    5. Position the track on the wall and hold in place with Cleco clamp.

    6. Set the track level to your camper/window, and set a pilot dimple at the next track hole.

    7. Drill hole as before and install Cleco clamp. Wash and repeat for all holes, drilling and clamping as you go. (This ensures any warp/bow is out of the track during final install)

    9. Remove first Cleco and tightly Rivet the hole. Wash and repeat till all holes are riveted.

    10. ????

    11. Profit

I used this to form a weather seal between the welt track and Hab since I was doing an exterior install.

Thanks for the write up, that looks perfect? What width and depth rivets did you use? Did you go with aluminum or SS rivets?

    No problem.

Looks like I used 3/8” diameter x 1/2” long aluminum to prevent galvanic corrosion

There is an electric fan in my heater currently, and next year I will be ordering an 18650 rechargeable fan to direct heat around the tent, but Im guessing you are referring to a vent fan?

Yeah, I am in North Carolina which basically translates into misery heat 9 months out of the year.

I don't want to mess around with consumable batteries, but I want some air circulation if possible. Just wondering if anyone had a 12 Volt fan of choice.

    Thanks in advance.

I’ll take the rack! I still want it!! Sent a couple PMs, replied to you, no response.

On edit: I wonder if he has me on block for some odd-colored comment I made once?

Nope. Definitely not for any odd-colored comment.

But ABSOLUTELY for the off-colored comments.

I'm in the club! I just picked up a used Habitat. I'm looking to get some input on how long term users would recommend installing it. AT was kind enough to send me the installation instructions. After reviewing the instructions and looking at other's installations it seems the method has changed over the years.

The latest Habitats have this thicker front hold down plate.

Should I look into beefing up the forward mount? I just have the single thinner plate with 3 holes shown here.

Outside of that my current plan is to take off the plastic bed caps, seal with window flashing tape. Use KB Voodoo bed rail caps with EPDM double-bulb seal . For the front rail I'll use a thicker single bulb seal but still sorting that out exactly. Also will be installing bed stiffeners.

Any other input or recommendations you guys have?
