Techstream

Hey all,

This is my first post in the NW forum. Looks like this is a good place to meet up with like-minded folks in the area haha.

I'm looking to see if anyone in the PDX area has a copy of techstream and a tactrix cable? I'm looking to do the transmission/shifting TSB for my 2019 TRD OR. I'd be happy to provide you with free beer for your trouble. PM me if you're interested in helping a brother out!

 

TSB should be free at any dealer?

 

TSB are only performed free if still under warranty and duplicatable by tech.

 

^ This. I'm still under warranty, but the last two dealerships gave me the "Toyota says this is normal" BS.

That one doesn't work for ECU flashing, you can use it to change settings through techstream, program key fobs, read codes but not flashing

 

There is no reflash for the 2019s

 

You can download TS from by signature below.

I would be happy to loan out my OVT / Tactrix adapter once 2.0 drops (soon!). You would just have to cover shipping and a refundable deposit. I did a similar thing when the TSB ECU tunes dropped back in 2018.

One thing is that you will need to find the TSB software (CUW file) associated with that TSB. The software has to match the Hardware / ECU ID that you are flashing. That is about all that I know personally, esp about 2019s.
