double it up, I made the frame reinforcing plates out of 3/16 and used them to tie in the bumper mounting location with the lower cross bar, knocked out the stock studs and tacked in longer grade 8 1/2" bolts. Then I got a set of the frame tie in brackets and gussetted them top and bottom with some cross bracing and added them.

    frame plates

    tie in brackets

SOS Concepts makes the frame reinforcing plates and comes with hardware I believe. Longer bolts will be needed if also using the tie in brackets

Don’t forget Gainesville or Bristow; both are kind of between Haymarket and Manassas. My SIL lives in Gainesville and loves it.

Gainesville is nice. As long as you don't need to drive during rush hour(s).

True, but the traffic kind of goes with the territory for most areas in NoVA. At least east of Haymarket...

I have the SSO with BAMF brackets as well. No issues so far.
@crashdb just looked at your pics in the BAMF thread. You're bolts do look really short. I have about that much sticking out with my BAMF installed.

I lived in Manassas for 11 years now. Its nice out here. I've lived in Arlington & Alexandria and this is easily my favorite spot. We got the best indoor range in NOVA, good beer spots in the area , a good mix of different people and you get alot more for your money out here because everyone wants to live in Fairfax and Loudoun. Its not hipster area and like all places it doe have its shitty areas. If you work in DC the commute sucks . It gets worse every year.
Haymarket is super nice. Its growing like crazy.

Agreed. All it can be is the Line-x. Maybe some sanding is in order.

Just heard back from Tony from Kore 4x4. He would like me to go to his shop so he can use my truck to make and install frame reinforcements. For free and all. I may just take him up on this.

What up y’all. Anyone have or know anyone with the Tyger Auto running boards from Amazon? I’m trying to find some in the sub $200 range for my 2nd Gen DCSB.

That’s good to hear. Amazon is definitely iffy with its brands at times. I appreciate the response!

HMarket is going to be an investment and expensive. Look at Marshall area for cheaper property just 15mins further out. Closer to 66 the better!

I am running these and they have "slid" me across some stuff without catching but are tied into the stock bolted mounts not welded onto frame.

Where is he? My chinese winch bumper has no reinforcements and is show only =)

Gainesville (seems to me) to be worse than most places. I think there are too many homes and not enough roads.
