Springfield EMP 9mm, who has one?

I'm ordering one now. It seems as though there have been some problems with hollow points as is typical of 1911 style pistols. Has anyone bought one somewhat recently and what has been your experience?

 

Oh, and the one I'm getting is the CA Compliant 3" version, 9+1 capacity.

I'm kinda over Glocks because of the different grip angle and they feel like a plastic brick haha. Sold a 17 to put towards this one. Keeping my 26 though, 10+1 in a subcompact size.

 

You have to break them in before you use hollow points like most all 1911s. 300 to 500 rounds.

 

Yeah I plan to run about 500 or so rounds through it before I carry it, so it should be broken in by then. It looks like some of the people having issues with HPs was because they didn't clean it before going to the range the first time.

 

Have the contour carry 1k trouble free rounds. Article I wrote on it impressed me enough I bought test gun.
