By doing this you will keep any metal particles in the filter the stronger the magnet the better you figure out how 2 secure it i used a plastic bottle on my 2008 tacoma with a large rubber band 2 hold bottle down

You should be aware that most regular magnets become weaker at temps above 175 degrees or so. You need magnets made for high temp applications, otherwise it might not be as effective as you think.

I use high temp magnets that stay at their original strength up to 300 degrees.
