Still enjoying the tires? Really does seem like the perfect size for Tacos.

Yes! I’m still pulling over 15.5 MPGS on winter gas I doubt I would get close to that on 35’s.

@Shadowhunter, can you show some pics or give me some more specifics on what you had to trim on the rear of your front fenders? I’m seriously considering these for my 3rd gen. One concern is that I’m running a 17x9 wheel. Not sure if it would look right with that width wheel. Thanks in advance.

I traced around and cut 2” of metal and cut 1 3/4” off the flares, gutted the inter fenders and hammered over the pinch weld. I have room for days now.https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2nd-gen-4x4-35s-3-lift-w-o-body-lift.285871/ I followed a lot of what’s in here because after I regear I’m gonna go with 35’s anyways.

Thanks man. Looking at your tire/wheel setup, I’m afraid my wheels may be too wide for that tire.

How are the tires holding up for you? I am seriously considering a set. How many miles have you put on them and how are they in the snow?

They are holding up pretty well I’m probably around 15k on them so far. They do really well in the snow. I’ve been running the Goodyear MTRs for about 8 years on my other trucks. I had them in 35’s on a 91’ Sr5 and have them in 35’s on my 96’ Tacoma. They usually last 45k-50k

Good to hear. I don’t see to many people running them. Could be the price? I’m going to order a set for my 3rd gen.

Pefect combo with the bronze Ray10! Did you happen to Get a measurement mounted? Curious how true to size these run. I think they’re a 34.5x11ish if IIRC.

*edit: my dumbass didn’t see your post above mentioning 34” mounted. Thanks!!

Is there a shortage of this size right now? America’s tire told me (in their inventory) there’s only 4 in the entire country lol

They are super hard to find. It took me 8 weeks to get mine in.

I got lucky and pulled the trigger today. Got those last 4 apparently - though wouldn’t be surprised if they call back and say sorry we couldn’t get them lol. Said they’ll be here in a week or so. Fingers crossed!

if this just a Goodyear thing because of covid or that specific tire? I hope to god not, it’s perfect!

I ordered two back in August and it took two weeks. They came outta Illinois. I had 3 bent cam tabs and couldn’t hold an alignment so my fronts got wasted before I could get my tab gusset braces on. In the end I ended up trimming 1.75” of my fenders and gutted my wheel liners. I don’t rub anywhere now no matter if I’m in reverse at full lock going through a dip at 5mph. Without trimming they rubbed probably 5% of the time mostly heading down hill into a turn with a hump or dip on a logging rd. I love the tires though basically a 35” without the weight. I’m tuned and have cam gears and I’m pulling 17mpgs without any gear changes. Also have winch bumper, winch, skids, sliders, canopy and a drawers that are filled with gear.

Do you think running these tires on OEM FJ wheels they would rub as bad? Considering these for my next tire, mainly worried about gearing. I have an ARB front bumper and a homebuilt high clearance rear so hopefully I clear there.

Anyone have a line on this tire new or used? Anyone have any interest in buying mine on 17" sequoia wheels? I am at a crossroads I have 3 almost new tires and 1 with a patched sidewall.
