Uhh.. I have no idea. I'm not a sip at a bunch of different bottles kinda guy. I buy a bottle then I drink the bottle.

I really liked 2019-03 if I remember correctly. Had a nice sweetness to it without an aggressive finish. May have been 01 though.

    Not much stock left.
I've had the Taylor single barrel in the back. Quite enjoyed that.

Nearly forgot to follow up... my initial impression was great. It really surprised me, and held up well against some cask strength Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill bottles.

The immediate thought that popped in my head when sampling it was of banana French toast with maple syrup and caramel candied apples and oranges. Oddly specific, but that's what it reminded me of. Very good stuff, and a great value to boot.

Not rough at all. The Lincoln County process really treated this whiskey right. Very round and cohesive, with a near velvet texture.

The heat question is a little tougher to tackle... I hadn't had any alcohol all week, so each of the four barrel proof bourbons I drank were all a little hot at first. If I had to compare, I'd say it was warm compared to the hot of Stagg Jr. and ECBP.

All around I'd have to say it's easily the best JD offering I've ever had, but then again I haven't tried much outside of the Black Label, Gentleman Jack, and Gold.

Found this while browsing a state store I’ve never been to. This was the only bottle they had. This local company makes a damn nice vodka so I figured I’d give it a try for $30. First sip was a little rough. It reminds me a bit of trying white dog while touring Buffalo Trace. It’s got a burn to it and some decent flavors but it’s missing that smoothness that only comes from barrel aging. Probably not going to be my go to but it’s always worth trying something new.

For $22 for a handle, it's pretty nice. I think it is a Kentucky exclusive? If not, I can't get it here and a buddy of mine that was up there recently brought it back. I bought a 750ml last time I was there and really liked it. Told him to grab me a handle this time through.

My neighbor came over, but he's on 7/7s. If I'm drinking alone, it's rarely the good stuff - I save that for friends. This is up there with Evan Williams BiB, Mellow Corn, and OGD 114 for a cheap one that I have no problem revisiting over and over.

Interesting. I'll have to try to get my hands on a bottle. My cheap daily, these days, is Ancient Age.

Ain't a damn thing wrong with that, either. Great choice for a daily.
