Been hiding this for a year. Getting some snow here in the Carolinas so I figured why not?

So good. The chocolate really pops with a hint of oak and vanilla from the barrel. Not much coffee though. The burn from the bourbon that it had when fresh is non-existent.

I always buy a 4 or 6 pack of em and throw a few in the “cellar” I think I’ve got 3 years worth now. Think I may do a vertical next year

Another from the local brewery. Beer itself was great, about $5.00 more than their normal 4-packs for whatever reason. I was disappointed in the packaging.

The Rocky River IPA, the Red Hill Amber, Boll Weevil Brown, Cabarrus Cotton Blonde, Reed Gold Ale etc...they all tell a local story on the package. This was double stitch DIPA, an assumed homage to the 100+ year old abandoned hosiery mill the brewery occupies. This can had no story, but it was filled with good beer so....

Sink pour I refuse to drink shitty tasting beer. I have even poured a few $20 6ers. It sucks and normally after that I just stick to beer I know for awhile.

I’m still working on these, have three left. Probably save them for my friend Dave who’ll drink anything.

Yeah from riip. They’re certainly good. They’ve had their ups and downs. Ever since acquiring Ian as their head brewer they’ve been good again.

Spent the day unfcuking a tailgate FUBAR. Managed to back into a power pole while loaded down with a gaggle of dirt bikes. Crunched the tailgate and bent the cross sill...

Damn it... After bringing home a case of BBA stouts last weekend, I told myself I wouldn’t buy anything else for a while. Id just drink some of the 100+ bottles I already have.

Then I managed to score a couple tickets for 2 Weldwerks Media Noche variants...

And then Veil Brewing in Richmond announced a cellar release today (BIL lives there and muled 4 bottles for me after work)...

And then I lined up a Parish Royal Earth apple pie barleywine trade. And a Great Notion Mamut stout trade...

And Orpheus released more in their Vanilla Stouts All The Way Down series - Madagascan and Tongan (going tomorrow!).

Also need to pick up some pre-purchased CraftCellr releases - Wrecking Bar BBA Ye Olde Sprinklerhead barleywine and Monday Night Garage Vanilla Latte barleywine bottles.

But I swear, I’m just drinking from the cellar after that!

Tonight, Murfreesboro TN’s Mayday Brewing Epsbean Didn’t Stout Himself vanilla stout! Great name and solid beer!
    But, damn I hate crowlers!
