We had a wind storm early February and had a small hitchhiker branch rip sensor harness that hooks to inside of rear wheel. Malfunction light return to dealer light came on.
Brought to dealer now it will cost hundreds of dollars to repair. I thought a new 4x4 pickup would have been more rugged than that. This was on my driveway not even on a trail.
Has anyone else had this problem and does Toyota need to go back to the drawing board

Is this the ABS sensor you're talking about?

The 2018+ models should detect live hitch hikers in the ditch. Maybe it was already dead.

That can happen to any truck/car, regardless of how rugged you think they are.
CV boots, cables, anything under there can get hit and at a good speed you have a good MV**2
