Learned a lot of good stuff! I saw on the Adams website that there is another one next month, is that right? If so, wanted to attend again. I had to leave before seeing the buffing. My car is stupid dirty in your pic lol. Been putting some of what I learned to use today cleaning it!

I'm not sure about next month's calendar, but Adam's sponsors Lafayette Cars & Coffee (which is huge), and they frequently man the shop around 0930/1000 so folks departing C&C can stop by. In my experience, they're happy to do Clinics (like yesterday) as long as there's sufficient interest to justify bringing-in staff for it.

I'm not the expert Adam is, but I have experience with most of their products. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you...

 

Do you know much about their Paint Correction process? I was looking at that on their website and think I'm going sign up for it. My car is absolutely covered in swirl marks that look just like the pictures they have up. Plus I have a lot of small chips, a few scratches, and a couple of spots where the clear coat has worn down.

I guess I'm wondering more about the clear coat and chips. Would I need to get those touched up before trying the paint correction for the swirls?

 

For best results, you probably want to touch-up chips and repair damaged/worn clear coat before correcting. In general, correction can fix swirls/scratches unless they're deep enough to feel with a fingernail. (If they're deep enough to feel, they can mitigated, but not completely fixed.)

Recommend scheduling a time for the experts at Adam's to evaluate your paint and suggest an appropriate course of action.

 

Bought their clay mitt and detailing spray. Took out a lot more "chips" then I expected! Though that being the first time I've ever used clay, I did mess up in a spot or two where I didn't use enough spray and made some small streaks. Read up on how to get those out and it seems to be working. But I was actually surprised at how much the clay mitt and spray helped!

So I went and bought a mystery box off Amazon. I left a review and pic of the contents in the link below, but the short of it is I spent $60 for the box, and got $95 in product. I'm happy. Except I bought their big ultra plush towel a few days before the mystery box, and also recierec one in the mystery box. Lol

Wait...I just noticed the price dropped to $44 now? I paid $59 for this a few days ago...Amazon says they won't refund the difference, so that's a little disappointing. But I still got a good deal overall.

Moral of the story, maybe buy now since it seems like a damn good deal...almost thinking about buying another one lol.

It also looks like they now have the mystery trunk organizer up for sale at $99. The Medium mystery box is now only available on Amazon, mine shipped out of an AZ distribution center, so I'm guessing there's a limited supply left.

 

Went up to Adam's yesterday to get some cleaning products - I'd had enough of the dirty truck and car from all the recent road grime. Found they were in the middle of a soon to be completed remodel. Got a VIP tour of the entire shop in the process of doing my shopping. Very impressed with the shop, products and staff, and the $280K McLaren was not bad either. Hope they have a spring event this year.
