After four Tacomas including the 2016 I decided the better truck was the Ranger on many metrics. I don't hate Tacomas. I will give the redesigned Tacoma another look. Its not a zero-sum game, One can like both trucks and therefore can give both trucks an informed decision. Although if Toyota keeps its weak V6 and transmission, the choice will be easy. I don't think any truck should require a tune to be relevant.
