    gents,

a buddy did an install of 5100 over the weekend and has asked me to reach out to smarter minds than his / ours...

he kept/installed the plastic shipping retaining clip for the 5100 dust cover
    • for the driver side - installed just be low the nylock nut (thought it was some sort of washer)
    • for the pass side - realized it probably wasnt a washer, but maybe a retaining clip for the dust cover/boot

i sent him the toytec video of the 5100 assembly found here where the guy mentions to toss it / if kept it could eat into and tear the bushing????

is it worth it to take everything apart just to take out the plastic clip?

Personally I would want to know that it was done right... Especially before you pay to get it aligned.

The dude in the video seems to know what he's talking about. If it were me, I would be taking that side back apart.
