Cement lower panel paint imperfections

Hey guys,

was out looking at the truck today’s and noticed the lower panel pretty much around the entire truck almost looks as if it’s “bubbling”. I see there’s some sort of clear bra In these areas but idk it’s that or the paint itself. Pics attached

That is normal

 

Almost every truck has it. Thicker paint to protect against the kickup rocks and dirt

 

It’s like that on every truck. They apply thicker paint at the bottom to help prevent chips from rocks getting kicked up.

 

Normal, exact same thing on my 2019 Cement.

 

It's like that to prevent rocks, and anything else the tire throw at the side of the truck, from chipping the paint

 

Salesmen should really point this feature out.

 

Good news is you are above the 50 posts for BST.

 

Some salesmen are idiots. The one who sold me my truck told me the switch to turn on the third break light was a switch to auto level the bed when it had a heavy load in it.

 

So now you know, OP... but how long have you had your truck before finally noticing this????

 

Bring it in, warranty should take care of it

Agree, even though it doesnt really work.

I have quite a bit of rock chips already down there and im quite careful.

 

it is a gravel guard spray, over the panel, under the base/clear/top coat. it is a "soft" material that is there to "absorb" stone chips, and help maintain the finish for longer than a non protected finish. adding mud guards, or flaps will help as much or more, as well. protecting your investment. Ski

 

Bingo...the right answer. By the way...add mudguards AND step tubes or running boards for the best protection against gravel and other road debris.
