    True story...
My FIL use to have a few horses. So I was at his house one day and a commercial for that movie came on, he glanced at the tv and said, "I'd like to see that movie". I was like, "Umm...I think you may want to pass on that particular western. Word on the street is it ain't no Horse Whisperer type movie, if you get my meaning".

There was a nice place in Abilene, that had great burgers but it closed down, dunno why. Also was one in Mt. Home that was great, but one of the owners died so they closed it not long after if i remember right.

And another Monday in the books. Time to close up and head to the house and do more work.

Any of you have experience with tractor hydraulic issues? Have a 2001 kubota L3400dt and the loader needs excessive throttle input to operate. Like 1/2 to make it move. Full barely lifts a load of loose mulch

Is it a hydrostatic transmission? Fluid level or filter?

No fluid leaks anywhere? Sounds like you have a pressure issue. Maybe a proportioning valve?

Filters gotta be a pretty cheap start since you don't know how old it is.

Most filters will bypass when clogged. And then trash out the pump. Sounds like a sticky valve in the mix or a bad seal bypassing.

Change and flush all the fluids, replace the filters and give it a try. That pump should put out 5.5gpms. If this doesnt work we need to hook up my gauges and check the system. Pump is about $500-$600.
I have owned Kubotas since 1994.
How many hours on this tractor?

    Agreed

The gumming and burnt pump are my fear. Shop fees are $85 hr around here.

Will do. Shes got 1026.5 hrs. I'll try to get fluids and filter changed this week and update. Oh and correction it's a 2001 L4300dt 4x4.

another vote for filter, check you fluid levels also. But im guessing its direct drive from engine to pump? Could be pump, but need to rule out filters first.

Neighbor has an old back hoe and was having issues. I asked if he checked filters, hes like yeah i did, turns out later it was a filter he looked at was clogged.

Very low hours for that tractor. I would be surprised if you have anything wrong other than oil and filters. If not I come down there with my tools and we figure it out.
