can I put 265/70 R16 (steel wheel and BF Goodrich tire) from 2007 Tacoma on to a 1998 Tacoma which has been running 265/75 R 15 tire and 15 in alum wheel?

Worked on my 2nd Gen (though I went back to stock 15" wheels last year); You will probably need adapter rings for the wheel to fit properly...

Yes you can swap the 07 in to your truck. But yours will not fit on the 07.

When I bought my truck it had 265/75/R16 on 2nd gen Tacoma wheels. Also had ~0.5" spacers and they rubbed on the frame at full lock.

    judging by tire size, that's a 6

@tipperbig yes you can. Just search for "2nd gen wheels on a 1st gen" and you'll get all the other threads that have talked about it.
