    Hey Everybody,

Has anybody replaced their cabin air filter in their first generation Tacoma? From what I have read and seen, it seems as if Toyota made this one damn near impossible.

    Take it easy,
    Paul

It is an impossible feat. That's because our trucks unfortunately didn't come with cabin air filters. The blower motor pulls from under the cowling between the hood and windshield. Some people have rigged up coarse filters for the intake here, but it's not very easy to access. I tried to 3D print a plastic adapter that would take a standard cabin air filter, but there just isn't very good access to the intake without cutting metal.

Here's what one person did to access this intake.. Can't remember if this was on Tacomaworld or another site.

Our 1st gens dont have cabin air filters unfortunately. Even the first year of the 2nd gens (2005) didn't have them.

Really sucks for offroading when you get back in your truck the next day at home and turn on the AC....face full of dirt
