Oh, I can throw the truck around mountain roads to the point that I'm nearly out-driving the KO2s, so I agree with you. It's strange how much she'll lean through low-speed turns, though.

Same. Feeling the suspension load and unload adds to the fun driving feels. The wife won't ride in the Taco with the sway bar. Every uneven bump got me the death stare.

Well, at least they named them for the intended purpose.

That is funny, esp as a TRD skid is just a few $$ more and delete all three parts. LoL!

Oh yeah. I could run the stock Toyos and new Wildpeaks beyond their limits with no problems. It will definitely lean, but there is not a lot of up travel until I start riding on the bump stop. There is always a clean spot on the LCA.

I've been through a couple swerves with idiot drivers around here. Not even a hint of pucker.

I remember testing it’s breaking points after removal. And the hoon levels were the same.

With the testing I’ve done, and how long I’ve gone sway bar less between this and an 01, I can’t foresee any difference in handling in an emergency movement. And if there is, it’s negligible, and VSC would probably help (though I’m not depending on it)

Same here. I did feel it out a lot when I took it off before going out wheeling. I was amazed at the difference on and off road. I gradually worked up to hard cornering and swerves. Nothing gives me any worse feeling than before. The fact is that I see plenty of cars that are tits up around here. No safety worries from my perspective.

Next up, @TRDWylie will be running a car tire on the back of his motorcycle. :D

And, just as quick to put back on if you happen to tow something heavy. The sway bar does help with towing stability.

If you drop off the two brackets just below the sway bar (5 bolts), it will drop straight down.

Great advice. Mine is living in the crawlspace until we get serious about a travel trailer.

Got rid of my sway bar when I put the extended Icon on. superior ride but body roll is a tiny bit exaggerated from stock. I wonder if it's worth fabricating / adapting a quick disconnect sway bar, like the Jeep loser have. hummmm....

I removed my sway bar on my Explorer. I know it is different suspension and everything but the comparison is similar. The big difference is the weight. The Explorer was a top heavy beast and I had a 5.5" lift with 32" tires. It tracked about the same as the Tacoma. I never felt that I had serious issues on road with sway. And off road it helped the poor articulating TTB suspension out a bit. I also plan on removing the sway bar on my Tacoma when the time comes.

I looked at the disconnect they have, a guy at work has a Heep. The only way I could see doing it would be cutting the bar in the centre and cutting splines in to both ends. Then have a sliding collar that slides to lock and unlock the 2 pieces. If I had access to a machine shop, I might consider trying it but I don't have any access anymore.

There's a guy in the BST section that makes SB end links. He has a very cool QD end link design.

I saw a couple ideas that involved cutting and welding on the SB. I wasn't thrilled with the specifics, but the general ideas were good.

I have looked at that thread. It's a sound idea. My concern with the end link disconnect would be the end of the swap bar floating and running into the half shaft boot. There would need to be a way to secure it.
