I posted my dreams in the title so it says it all. I have been looking for a 2nd gen Taco DBC for the past couple of years with less than 150k and not beat all to hell and I think I may finally get my chance come this spring. A retired co worker of mine is possibly going to sell his 2011 Taco DBC in timberland green with 100,050 miles on it. He didn't use it as a work truck and it appears to be in really good shape as I initially asked him about it 2 years ago and he gave me a call last week letting me know he may upgrade soon. We haven't discussed price yet but he did tell me KBB private party was around 17k and dealer trade in was 15k (we know how the dealer trade numbers work though). I've been doing research off an on for the past year or more and I already know the values on these in the resell market are high but I don't see myself paying 17k for it. Im really hoping for under 15k.
I do currently have a 2000 4Runner SR5 with 117k on it so I am familiar with Toyota reliability but I need a truck bed just to carry a few things and after having the 4Runner since new, it was never used for anything but occasional drives and light snow duty.
Im browsing through the forums here to look for any known issues I should be aware of with the Taco if it becomes reality, all service work has been done at the location dealership about 2miles from my house so records shouldn't be an issue but I know there are unknown issues that cant always be seen initially.
I look forward to learning on here as I have on T4R forums and hopefully I can be a contributing member her in time. If you have any thoughts on the prices above, feel free to educate me on the markets better, I am located in NC (the Triad Area) if that makes a difference

It is, I think I named the correct color for a 2011. I think the later years were spruce mica
