33s on stock TRD Sport?

Hey guys I’m getting a 2016 Tacoma soon and wonder if a 33” tire or 285/70/R17 will fit in a stock trd sport?

Anything will fit if you push hard enough...

 

Do some research first. It will likely rub pretty bad.

Don’t do it unless you have the ability to swap back to the stock wheels fairly easily. You’ll need a lift and a minor CMC along with some fender trimming to fit 285/70/17s.

Don’t you wish there was a test drive option tire shops offered? I would test 35s first thing tomorrow, haha.

 

I had the same regret when I got 285s, now I got 315s and all is right in the world. Including my rubbing that I could care less about lol

 

I just got 265 70/ R70s on mine, had to take the mud flaps off. But otherwise it’s fine.

The largest you can go on a stock suspension.

 

Largest stock size is 265/70/17. No way you fit 285’s on a stock set up with out rubbing harder then you in highschool

 

Oh I know. I was clarifying that he meant 265/70/17. He said 265/70/R70, whatever that is.
