    Welcome Bud.
I'm with you on the 10k oil change. You will undoubtedly hear from some that because of the advancements in synthetic oils that 10k oil changes are perfectly acceptable and it may be so.
I prefer to aire on the side of caution. My oil changes are done at 5k intervals. For the cost of oil and filter vs the cost of my Tacoma it makes sense to me if for no other reason than for piece of mind. Just my take on it.
Do what makes you comfortable not what me or anyone else says. It's very much like modding....., do what makes YOU happy!

Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina

If the 10,000 mile oil change interval bothers you, change the oil more often. After all, it is YOUR truck.

Totally agree, do what's right for you not what may be right for someone else.

Exactly the way I was thinking. 2 extra oil changes a year especially when doing them yourself is nothing compared to the cost of the truck.

OMG, Mardi Gras was great this year in our area. I’m not quite dead but I’m not moving that fast this morning either. My wife was the DD so I could show my ass with my buddies. Had a great time. Tylenol and Gatorade are my friend today.

They aren't in production as far as I know. It was a concept Toyota built for Tokyo Auto Salon.

I’ll go with 5000 miles or when I get bored and need something to do.

That is wasting money with synthetic oil. I do mine at 7500 miles, which works out to roughly every 15 months, and it still looks pretty clean.

We just disagree. You're happy with 7.5k, I'm feel better at 5k.
It's all good we're each just making our own personal choice.

Darkened my headlights and fog lights yesterday. Light out put was slightly effected. However, I do have 12000 lumes hikari LEDs in both headlights and fog lights. Might keep it, might not. Daytime LEDs come through clean, pictures where taken with sun hitting directly on the truck.

It happens often. If you resize, even barely, they will load correctly. A lot of mine do it too, then I have to delete off the thread and resize, then re-add.

You are so right Bob!

For the record, I'm happy with 10K or twelve months, whatever comes first. :anonymous:

Just an FYI - Our company cars in Europe get their oil changed every 20K kilometers.

Today installed a bypass switch for the driver's side door-ajar switch.

The constant beeping when the driver side door is open and you are in accessory mode is extremely annoying to me. Some people it doesn't seem to bother at all, but I'm one of those people that it drives me crazy. I would just like to be able to hang out, listening to music or having the truck in the accessory mode for any other reason with the door open and not be constantly BEEPED at.

In my second gen Tacoma I just disconnected the switch connector from the outside behind the actual switch. This made the truck think the door was always closed, and solved most of the problem. In this third gen truck, when you disconnect the switch connector, the truck thinks the door is always open.

So the option I went with was to cut the wire and run it to a switch. this way I could just turn the annoying chime off when I wanted to, and still have the option of the truck knowing whether the door was open or closed during normal operation. I pulled the trim off, cut the wire, and then ran two wires underneath the trim along the side of the door and then up to the switch panel where I had an empty switch position.

After looking around, the only switch I found that I liked was the zombie light switch off of Amazon for a few bucks. Nobody seems to make one that says "door chime" so... oh well. I think the zombie lights one looks cool.

Crap, now ya tell me! I guess now I have to find out what "zombie lights" actually are, and then get some to justify my switch purchase. This forum is getting expensive.
