I guess the BSM, rear sonar, rear camera and TSS all didn’t work.

You search the mod-list, but don't find anything of interest.
Let's cut him some slack, at least he's owning up to his mistake and looking for suggestions on his best options moving forward. It's not a case of "the tree just jumped into me while I was parked minding my own business in a paved lot" kind of scenario.

@Mrseafoo I would recommend doing repairs yourself, then you don't have to leave the truck with the dealer and gain the experience of working on the truck yourself to find out if this route is for you in the future, potentially saving you time and money. As stated this also avoids all interactions with the insurance company who will probably be a hassle and a half and potentially increased rates.
Whatever you decide, good luck moving forward.

If your insurance company is raping you every time you have a claim, it's time to get a new insurance company.[/QUOTE]

And one of the first questions the new Insurance company will ask is if you had any claims in the last 3/5 years and if you were at fault. Answering yes to both of these questions won’t get you a great rate.

None that I use have ever asked when starting a policy with them. Is that unusual, or do you think they're pulling the information from somewhere?

I was criticizing the truck (and maybe people that use this new tech as a crutch).

Not necessarily, if your claim/claims are minor, such as just replacing a side mirror or a taillight lens/bumper cap etc they will most likely give you a good rate to get your business and just raise your premium the second year.

I use two of those and neither has asked when insuring a vehicle that's new to me. Weird.

I did this exact thing. Sold my broken tail light and good one to someone here on TW. Upgraded to the PRO tails. Replaced the SR black bumper cap I originally upgraded to. Since I worked for the dealer at the time, it was very little money out of pocket.

if you claim it on insurance claim you were hit and run, otherwise you may get surcharged, some states anyway

I got a quote from all 4 about 2 months ago and they all asked. Progressive was the cheapest (still, been with them for about 10 yrs.) by about 30%.

Was going say maybe it's a locational thing... but you're probably just a few miles from me by the looks of it haha.
Perhaps I just don't remember answering that question... Idk

Every single time I’ve looked for quotes every single company asked if I had claims, who was at fault, and if I had any tickets. I can’t imagine saying Yes would lower the quote.

I'd like these trucks more if they didn't have the back up sensors. I'm willing to bet replacing all of the rear sensors cost as much as the entire rear bumper assembly.

I have BSM on my truck. I have it on but never use it. When it fails, I won't have BSM. Simple as that.
