    Hi Everyone,

I've been reading this forum quite a bit and I've found a lot of information about high idle issues with 1st gen Tacomas; however, not much for the second gen. I have a 2006 2.7L tacoma that idles at 2000rpms, or more, on cold starts. It also idles rough when I come to a stop 500-600 rpms.

I've cleaned my MAF sensor and throttle body, changed the oil, spark plugs, and air filter. I also checked for vacuum leaks and didn't find any. I reset the ECU and checked for codes at the parts store.

Here is a link to the video of it idling: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Dsker6NRhB19q2R99

Does anyone have recommendations on what to do next?
    Thank You in advance!

So I replaced the MAF sensor with a new one, reset the ecu again, and it still hasn't improved. I just ordered a new throttle body so I'll keep everyone updated. In the meantime, any other recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Could be a possible vacuum leak. Check for cracks on the intake tube between throttle body and the air filter.

Ok thank you, I'll take another look at that tube for any cracks and report back.

The cracks may be super fine. Push and pull on different sections of the tube to make the cracks more apparent. Same issue happened with my neighbor's Ford Explorer. He had high idle, took it to a shop and they replaced the MAF and TB, but it didn't remedy the issue. I showed him the cracks on his intake tube, wrapped the tube in duct tape, and brought the idle right down.
