Not sure if it's normal, Had the truck idling for about 5 mins and I noticed it was idling around 500 rpms. Every once in a while I noticed the engine got considerably louder and it would spike to 1k.

Probably the A/C compressor kicking off and on. That’s normal. Takes slightly more power to run it, meaning slightly higher RPMs.

Most likely the ac compressor, or you turned the steering wheel ever so slightly, or something else

I was thinking that but the ac wasn’t on. Wasn’t sure if it would turn on and off by itself

The Defroster also cycles the AC Compressor.

Is this the 2.7 engine?, I see you got the sr5. My 2.7 does the same thing but never gets worse, been told it’s normal.

For the 3.5, the idle can vary based on the cleaning cycle, too.
