Looking to buy a used cap for a 3rd gen 6ft box, What demesions do I need? Will a 2nd gen cap fit?

Looking to do this as cheap as possible and fully functional as I plan to move into the finished product. Thanks!

 

2nd gen might fit, but the tailgate is a different shape and the bedsides are wider. Just a thought, that it would fit, but might not look right

 

This is what I'm looking at $500 canadian, I want to put it on my 2020 access cab. I can already see the tailgate might give me issues.

Any thoughts? Will it work?

 

It will not work. It will look shitty and it will leak.

In my opinion, that means it doesn’t work.
