symptoms- wondering on roadway slight jerking in steering.

Shop told me a month back on alignment that caster /chamber was maxed out. Not 100% sure which one he said but one of them.

was told these would deff help.

opinions please?? My budget is limited.

keep in mind bought this truck back in January

You get what you pay for with UCAs and i promise you that you don't want to cheap out on something that holds all your suspension together. If the arm or joint fail in you while going 55mph you will not have a good day to say the least. Just my 2 cents

    This.

spend the money on some SPC arms or JBA. I like SPC's for their adjustability and ease of at home alignments. I just upgraded my older ones with the xAxis bearings, outer ball joints are the older non greasable ones (which i pack with grease every 30k) and they are just as tight as when i got em.

These are my next option. But will not spend no more than this amount. I just honestly can’t afford. It to be more than this

FWIW, most people on here are all gonna say go with spc, jba, total chaos, etc.

Ultimately all these were over priced for me and the freedom off road($300) had been mentioned on Tacoma world before with out any negative reviews from people who actually used them. I would try to find reviews and check out the warranty policies before picking a set and make sure the ball joints and bushings are replaceable so if one starts to wear out you’re buying new control arms again .

Before you throw UCA’s at the truck you should make sure that the LCA alignment cams are not seized.

While the truck wandering around on the roadway and steering wheel jerk on potholes is an indication of low caster, the alignment tech should still be able to get within spec on 2” of lift.

I have had my fair share of shop techs that don’t know the difference, especially in alignments. I’ve been told they “maxed out” the alignment cams only to find they actually meant that the cams were seized and they couldn’t wrench it any further.

Also some alignment shops are just lazy.. they give you a “toe n go” and send you on your way with some excuse for the other adjustments. You could technically look at your alignment cams to see if they’re indeed maxed out.

Should really have no issue getting proper alignment with stock arms. im at 3 inches of lift and 2.5 caster, just have to get an alignment guy that will actually do it how you want and not just put everything in the green and kick it out.
