If anything, it'll help suppress pricing on secondary. It's usually about $150 or so (if I recall) for a 700mL and there is a steady supply coming from overseas. I've been in group buys where gold was about $100-110 with a LOT of folks getting them.

I don't see these fetching more than $200, but bet they steady stay close to $175 or so.

@bvbull200 reading about your other project above and it got me thinking... I'm a total newb when it comes to drinks... And maybe there could be some educational material about brands/batches/prices... Likely a HUGE project.. just throwing out ideas.

Just an example.. I know nothing about Booker's or why you kept calling it County Ham until I got mine yesterday and it all clicked in my head. I know there are new people joining here all the time and could use some enlightenment.

Now that I've typed this all out it's likely this idea could be a cluster! Haha

Site should have recipes for drinks and food. Tips for foods they go with, recipes for those things. Glasses to server in.

Laser people to etch those glasses.

I'm not much of a fan of Country Ham... it's okay, but probably one of the lesser Booker's I've had (not that many, actually)

My buddy, John, already has a little personal website built out. It is more for cataloging his stuff, but he has it sort of mimicking the content you'd get in a magazine like Whiskey Advocate. There is already a section called something like "Bryan Drinks Booker's" that is for me to contribute Booker's content .

At any rate, the website is John's baby. I'll be a contributor, but I'm a data dork, so I just want a playground for analytics :D. Of course, I'm always game to answer Booker's questions ;).

The feedback is really good. So long as the thread is otherwise slow, any input on what folks would like to see in an app or whiskey website is very much welcome. I'll spin off another thread if anyone thinks this is occupying too much of this thread's original intent.

I'll be getting back with John soon enough to keep progressing this thing.

Partner site will be www.pitfacedbbq.com :D.

I like it. It finished 3rd in our 2019 batches night after tallying scores from 9 people. 3rd out of 4th doesn't sound great, but really the top 3 were pretty universally enjoyed. It was only Teresa's Batch that got pretty hammered in the scoring.

That and Shiny Barrel were my favorite, with Beaten Biscuits taking the cake. Great batch!

For 2019, only Teresa's Batch was a "lesser" batch for me. I thought Country Ham was still a solid bourbon.

Very interesting how different the batches are, though. By all objective measures, they should pretty much taste the same, but those warehouse locations and locations within each warehouse obviously play a big role in the final product.

The two unopened ones are from the distillery. They have different graphics from around the distillery. They also give you stickers that say "Purchased at the White Rabbit Saloon" proof of purchase stickers I put on the sides. Just regular Jack but bottles you can't get anywhere but onsite. They change them out fairly regularly. I'm overdue for another trip to Lynchburg!
