I was previously in a Wrangler JK Rubicon and while it was great off-road, I found it to be cumbersome loading gear and dogs in and out of the rig. I had always wanted a Tacoma and after scouring the truck market, the Tacoma was still the one for me. So here she is as a clean slate on day oneIMG_9437.jpg

Like most people on here, the first mod was a TRD Pro grille, while I had wanted to go with something different to the 'norm' there were no others that really appealed aesthetically, so pro grille it was.FDF8E92E-A3BF-4B4C-8C37-B3615960C3B3.jpg

Next up was something to gain a bit of front end clearance. The bumper market was fairly saturated and again, not much out there really appealed to me. One bumper that did was the hybrid bumper from C4 Fabrication. I picked up their sliders as well which look great.

My next mod was the Mountain Hatch tailgate insert. For the amount of time sitting on my tailgate it was a no-brainer.

An easy mod to overlook but once you have it, you wonder how you went without it.

Was planning to go DIY for the bed storage, but after deciding not to get a topper, I wanted a fully waterproof option that could hold heavy loads on top. So here's the Decked drawer system in all it's glory.

For suspension I opted for the King 2.5" extended travel coilovers, remote reservoirs, 700lb springs, SPS adjustable control arms, OME dakar heavy duty leaf springs.

I got Fifteen52 Analog HDs in 17' with Toyo Open Country RT 285/70 - And because I know someone will ask, they don't rub (no trimming has been done)

My original plan was to go with a camper shell but I am always looking for ways to make the Taco more useful in the field. The Leitner Designs ACS rack was super interesting to me due to it's modularity. I am always changing my set up and needs based on what activities I am doing and and I wanted the truck to adapt with me to whatever I am using it for.

I pulled the trigger on the Leitner rack and I couldn't be happier. The thing is built like a beast and has an infinite amount of ways I can set it up. I still need to figure out my sleeping arrangement but am leaning towards a hardshell RTT on top of the rack.

Our trucks are starting to look very similar, I'm running the same wheels with 285/75 toyo AT2 tires.

Your build is looking great man! It reminds me that I should get a roof rack!
