The good news is, spring is coming... should be able to hold a bunch of sprouts and seedlings in that tray up there.

oh yea my bad i should of been more specific, i meant like to give it a certain shape and design so it doesnt look so boxy. like the prinsu and some aftermarket ones have curves, sharp angles, and logos cut out to give it a sleek look. vinyl could possibly work to break up the pattern.

It's ok but I will not choose it over the Prinsu. Also, you left the weather strip off, you could lso do the same with the Prinsu. One star out of 5 in imo.

@xzatx thank you for the post and I am glad you like our roof rack. I see many comments in this thread and wanted to point out a few key points about our roof racks.

    1) I see many comments about the looks. The reason we don’t have holes and cutouts on the sides and front are to eliminate wind noise. That was the #1 complaint about the competition. We created this rack to eliminate that issue.

2)The Economy Roof rack has two options: With or without a light bar cut out. These racks start at $649.99 with FREE shipping and NO tax.

    3) Our premium roof rack has many different add on options. Our roof rack features the all-new Adjustable LED Wind Deflector (ALWD) and options to add a 360-degree lighting cut out option for no extra charge or go with a standard flat side. This rack starts at $749.99 with FREE shipping and NO tax.

This rack has a lot of short comings

The fairing looks like in the long run like it would rub the paint off the roof

The fairing looks like an afterthought

    The roof gutters look unfinished

The mounting even looks like an afterthought

it wont be an issue. especially where i live. for me wind noise over look is a priority.

everyone is complaining about the boxxy design even my wife! i'm not disagreeing, but look at that G500 and G65 everyone is raving about and selling $100k over msrp. it's all square or that tesla truck.

old school look is fine. overdesigned = problems.

but yes maybe it could use some more cutouts on the sides and this could trim out weight... so far i like it.

you cannot leave the weather strip out in the prinsu. the channel on the front will show. this rack hides it.

anyway, i will be modding it! ... i'm still deciding on either vinyl or small amber lights like the ones that go on trucks and rvs.

Let's not compare this rack to a G500 or G65

Glad you weren’t actually offended! I mean I get the function over form but that was the first thing it reminded me of. The IMPORTANT thing is that you like it though. Someone is always going to think something is ugly or whatever. I have black wheels and I bet lots of people roll their eyes about the current popularity. Decals might help, lights def would. @CaliRaisedLed posted the pics with the premium and that one does look way better from the side. Not a fan of the ones without. The front does look like an afterthought though.

Hats off to @CaliRaisedLed for always keeping their responses classy! This is probably the only product I’ve seen that didn’t look awesome.

I think it looks okay, but just like everything else Tacoma, way way too much money. I'm blessed to be able to make this stuff and it amazes me how much folks charge vs. cost. I just spent 10 minutes with my suppliers, Metal Supermarkets, McMaster-Carr, TNUTZ and I got maybe $190 in materials. That edge molding is probably the most expensive @ $7.09ft. Plasma tables are expensive and laser is more but I'm not paying for it 3 years after it's paid for...lmao. Just saying folks.

My new beast friend right here!

j/k.. no plans for a rack myself. Wife hates them and I have no honest need for one. Don’t go to the mall so it’s more of a HD crawler...

Hey I'm as close to a 100% markup as anyone but some of this stuff is crazy. So having said that, I know for a fact I can fabricate a bumper almost identical as the ARB Bull Bar, but.............it would take huge effort and I'm retired. Not lazy, retired dammit...ahahahaha

My guess was that the manufacturers cost in T&M was around $225 for a roof rack.
