    Hey Guys,
Being the manager at a large shop and online retailer, im starting a thread of stuff i have bought and used for my tacoma. i will review and rate the products base on if i would buy the product again having used it for some time.

I started out with a 2017 TRD pro Tacoma with 20,000 miles on it. here is the truck as it sat when i purchased the vehicle. [IMG][IMG]

First Review i want to do is for the @Tacovinyl control knobs for the stereo...... these things are amazing!. totally and 1000% worth the 40 bucks for the set! the factory knobs are trash. like hot garbage. they are smooth tiny and stiff. these things make it so you can actually use the radio and phone features without having to rely on the touch screen. im a big guy, 6'1 and 3 bills with big hands and these knobs make the radio actually functional.

ok second on the list, the desert does it seat risers. these were an "on the fence" thing for me. i was worried being 6'1 and 300lbs. the tacoma is already not built for me and i didnt know if this was going to be a waste of 99 bucks or not. so i said WTF why not and ordered a set. install was easy, take the front bolts out and looses the rear lift install and run down everything tight. once getting back into the truck it was immediately clear this was a GREAT purchase. for me and my seating position it didnt raise me up in the car. but it did raise the front edge of the seat to meet the back of my legs and support my legs while driving. i would 100% buy this product in any tacoma i have in the future. if you dont have a set and are tall, dont worry these do help

New door speakers and an all in 1 10in. Sub, bed cover, bed stiffeners, new grill, tailgate inlays, Mat black emblems overlays, new led map and dome lights, plenty more in the plans.
I purchased a few of these 4x2x1 inch aluminum blocks and chopped one in half to raise the rear of my seat in the attempts to fit a sub under my driver seat. The sub still didn’t fit but I like it better this way anyways. Some dude some the same thing for $45 for 2 risers on eBay so I just made my own. Not sure if I’m gonna put them in the front since it has those tabs to index the seat properly.

OK, alot has changed since i last posted. the truck has undergone a ton of upgrades which i will get to but i wanted to post on another product i love. i bought on a whim the Rhino Rack dome 1300 awning. and it is amazing. its the only rack that has a stowed footprint as long as my prinsu rack with a 90in end. its folds out pops up with tent poles and is awesome. i highly recommend it. its also about 300 bucks. it can be tricky to do as one person but it isnt bad i can normally get deployed in about 5 minutes and it take just as long to roll up. all the poles, stakes and tent pols fit into the cover and all stay together up there.

Its a awning and its one of the cheapest car mount ones out there. Yes go get a 4 post but they are pain to have to stow ans deploy out on the trail

In looking at a similar setup. Do you get much wind noise with the rack and awning?

the rack do add a bit of noise. but i took down the headliner by dropping it straight down and added dynamat to the roof and that fixed all those problems. also helps with the summer heat coming thru

Nice. Did you have to do any cab mount chop or trimming? And do you encounter any runbing

o ya i did the runner 4 tacos cab mount replacement. its nice but it was not an easy install. doing it again i would probably do a chop. and yes it rubbed everywhere. you will need to do alot of testing and trimming to make it work.

I raised the seat in the back but wasn’t able to get the sub to fit. I like the seat like this much more tho.
