if i ever get a motorcycle, it'll be a supermoto bike. i think that with my background with dirtbikes it'll be an easier transition and way more familiar. do you need a motorcycle license to ride sumos on the street?

    Yes.

I tell anyone who asks that a sumo is like the day everything came together for you when you started to ride. You probably giggled like a school-girl. Well, ride a sumo and you'll always giggle like a school girl :)

Nice ride! You got that thing up to a solid 95mph at one point! Is it only the 250, or have your done bore/stroke/porting, etc?
I've been wanting one of those new Yamahas for a while now... or I might just go all out and get a KTM when the time comes and I've got the money. Either way, nice bike and nice ride!

No work, other than simple bolt on's and a power commander V. That 95mph was downhill @ WOT. Flat road @ WOT in 6th dont expect more than 85mph. Great little bike tho, lots of fun, very forgiving, and very light and nimble. I can toss this bike around like an empty soda can. Dont get me wrong...I LOVE this bike...BUT if I was to buy a supermoto again I would most definitely be looking at KTM.

Any of you supermoto guys have experience with the Ducati Hypermoto? Looks sick but wondering if it's worth the price tag.

When i was home last, i went to a ducati dealership. Rode the Hyper first then he brought out the Aprilia Dorsoduro, and the Ducati pulled harder but i loved how the Aprilia handled. Ill be picking one up in Feb.
