For sale is a Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller. Included is the controller, harness for 3rd gen Tacoma, and OEM switch pocket which the rear cut out. This will allow you to simply slide the controller in, and retain your original switch panel in the event you decide to sell the truck, or remove the controller.

I picked up an OEM replacement shortly after purchasing my truck in '16, and before any of the alternatives were available. This controller take about 10 minutes to install, and is 100% plug and play.

Truck has been sold and I no longer have a use for the controller.

$70 shipped anywhere in the CONUS. Local pick-up is available as well (Tucson, AZ).

Sorry to bother but since you have experience with this I have a question. Can the manual lever be used while in the pocket for manual braking?

 

Yes sir, it sure can. The controller slides back into the pocket, all the way up to, but not past the lever pivot point.

 

Thanks! Wouldn’t be willing to sell just the plate then by chance? I have the same brake controller but held off ordering the replacement plate without knowing if the manual braking would be accessible.

 

I would like to keep them together for now. I picked up the replacement from the dealer, however there is a company that makes a similar aftermarket solution now. A little google foo will probably lead you to the water. Try searching tekonsha Tacoma mount or something to that effect.
