Hello new to Tacoma world I found that setting Bilstein 5100 on setting 2 does a good job at
Leveling the truck was searching the forum and seen most were setting at 3 but it seemed
To lift the nose up a little hope this helps if someone was wondering if setting 2 was a optionimage.jpg

Higher you go the more rigid the ride. I would never go past 2 on any of my vehicles. 3+ rides rough for me. Max is bonkers.

I don’t know about going any higher being this is my work truck but I can say the ride quality is night and day over

No other changes needed? Just the shocks for that much height change? Debating this or 6112/5160 but if the answer to those are yes, 5100 sounds like the amount of time and cash I would prefer to invest in based on my needs.

5100’s are perfect for me also. Mild lift looks great and rides awesome. Set the front 4th setting. 1.5” and rear 1.5” with block installing 1.5”
    Aal this weekend hopefully.

Ride is great no complaints here. 265/7516 Yokohama X-At on stock off-road wheels. Spidertrax 1.25” wheel spacers

I am currently running stock suspension with 265/70R17's with -12 offset wheels and looks pretty good, want to do what you have and go up to 275/70R17's

So I can put 5100 on my Tacoma to replace the factory shocks thats on my TRD Sport, and dont need to purchase more parts like upgrading the UCAs or anything?

How much improvement does the 5100 give over the stock TRD Sport shocks on the highway?

@Norsk I currently don't own them, but from other owners I've heard its a firmer ride (in a good way) and reduces the nose dive when braking.

No UCAs required with factory springs.

Everyone has a different opinion on when you should do UCA's however the most common rule I have seen is over 2.5" lift change the UCA's. If you are doing no lift then yes, just the shocks can be replaced no other parts. As for the ride quality, I have no idea.

You will be good with the 4th setting alignment is perfect. No need for upper control arms. Imo perfect height for my truck. Little more aggressive stance. Definitely post pics when you get it installed

That's good to know. I don't plan to lift no more than 2.5". This is my first truck, and the I do not like nose drive diving when braking.

What is 4th setting? Is it harsh or better? I am newbie!

.10 lower in front over rear? Not bad. I have 265/70/17 Nitto G2s on my truck. This is the exact setup im looking at! Glad someone did this with the Nittos on setting 3.
