Frame rust would be my #1 concern with this truck since it's outside the window for free replacement. From what I can see in the pics:
1- rust seen on tow package and step bars bracket
2- likely parked outside, hazed HL housing
3- worn interior- stained seats, tear in rear seats and worn steering wheel
4- $4k worth of front end damage history
5- what looks like to be zip tie to hold the grill in.
    6- tpms light on
    7- dented tailgate
8- factor in clutch and wheel bearings replacement costs if still on original

Imo, its overpriced for its condition and it may reflect possibly of a neglected maintenance history. Do a thorough inspection of the undercarriage, drive up to highway speeds for vibes, shift through all gears, engage 4WD, ac/heat, eng leaks., front end due to past damage and even pull a spark plug to check condition.

That’s 11k in US dollars so it’s not really overpriced if the maintenance checks mentioned above pass muster and the damage was fixed correctly.

How difficult would it be buying one in Cali or Arizona and import it back to Canada that is rust free?

You have a really good eye for the rust on the hitch and step bars. Dent I completely missed...its not looking so hot now.

what are the price out there like? Do have summer holidays coming up, we wouldn’t mind the drive back up with it. :)

to be fair a 2020 tacoma would have rust on the hitch and step bars! lol. but seriously, rust on the hitch and step bars is very normal and very fixable, if the rest of the truck looks good i wouldn't let that put you off.

Agree with this too. Surface rust is much different than cancer rust. Old trucks from the dry southwest call that patina

It’d be the price in California you’d drop your jaw at.

the price on this one ain’t bad but that interior is pretty stained, and there’s no pictures of the rust.
