Had an accident with my 2015 AC 5 lug. 59K miles.
Apparently it was cheaper for the insurance company to pay me off and sell the damaged truck than it was to fix it so that's what they did.

Took the payment and picked up a 2013 5 lug with 66K miles.
Both trucks are SR5's so the only real difference (besides color) is no satellite radio and the back up screen is on the rear view mirror, not the radio. 2013 has better temp display. Also still have the original wheels with bigger 235/75R15 tires from the first truck which will go on this one.

Frankly I would sue the at fault driver, unless you were at fault. There is no reason on earth why you should ever end up with less than you had before due to someone else’s malfeasance. Before you met the other driver, you had a 2015 with 59k, after you meet him you should still have a 2015 with 59k or better.

Glad to hear that you got a good replacement for your totaled baby, and more importantly, that you're okay.
