Oh man. #26s. No thanks. I struggle tying #16s.

Step by step euronimp guides? No clue. Convince Lance Egan to write a book. lol.

He does have a good guide to tying a bread n' butter. I've spent hours pouring over that site...in my opinion, it's the most thoughtful approach to fly fishing on the web.

His stuff is my favorite because of how he approaches eceryfhing.

He’s a local guy. And I’ve had the chance to sit and hear him talk a few times.

Hey all... looking to buy a portable air compressor that i can use to inflate my float tube (etc). Don't do much heavy offroading, so tire inflation isnt' necessary. That said, i like the idea of the cubby mount, or at least for storage and then run off the outlet in the bed.

    Any recommendations out there? thanks.

I picked up one from Gunk or Slime i believe. Keep it in the cubby, behind back seat, runs on 12v plug in. It should get the job done.

I'd use a shop vac. Attach the hose to the discharge side and neck it down to the port on the floats. You don't need lots of pressure, you need volume.

There are battery shop vacs or you could just get an inverter and run any 110 volt unit.

The 400 watt inverter in the bed won't run much of a compressor or vacuum. You will need something that you can clamp to the battery directly.

By float tube do u mean a traditional style with a truck inner tube in it? if so you’ll need an automotive air pump or a small air compressor. A bike pump might be the easiest option lol

It's a Fat Cat float tube ... I got it for Christmas and honestly haven't even taken it out of the box yet because of weather here is so bad :)

I was just looking for a new project and saw how some guys had installed the ARB compressors in the cubby in the truck bed. I thought that might be a cool way to go with a smaller compressor for the bed cubby.

So for something like that you want a pump that moves a lot of air at a low pressure. An automotive compressor like the ARB is not great for that. Instead, look at an air mattress pump or something like this: https://www.greatlakesskipper.com/c...MI_8yVktPo5wIViJ6zCh31qASyEAQYBCABEgL5RPD_BwE

then you’ll need a hand pump to top it off

A shop vac is still my choice. I can inflate a queen size air mattress in 60 seconds with a small shop vac. It takes 7 minutes to use the air mattress blower.

    Some really cool shit
You can still blow up your fat cat with the ARB, and, just in case you need to air down some day, you're all set. There is a 9 mile shitty dirt road that I use to get to one of my favorite fishing spots. You could do it in a car, but it takes a long time because you have to go real slow. But, in your truck, aired down, you can roll along pretty comfortably.
